Anonymous: Operation DefenseMay 3, 2012 No Comments
On May 1st the US House of Representatives voted to pass the Cyber Intelligence Sharing and Protection Act (CISPA).
Check out Naomi Wolf’s article on OpEdNews regarding CISPA:
The opposition to this act claims that it is a gross violation to our 4th Amendment rights, and seeks to take away those rights and to grant unwanted power to our government and law enforcement agencies.
Anonymous has initiated what they call the second phase of Operation Defense. Recognizing that DDOS attacks have not had the effect that they had hoped, they have moved on to organizing protests against public companies supporting CISPA.
Love them or hate them, no matter what you do, you have to take notice to their in your face opposition to what they see as threats to our American and basic human rights.
It is impossible to condone all the actions that Anonymous has made since they crawled out of the 4chan mire years ago. However, its also impossible to overlook that some of their battles are really there to support the rights of the American people.
As usual, Anonymous has release a video describing their strategy, who to target, and why they want you to join up.
